Hi there

My lad is playing this and is constantly pestering me for help. He
says he does the tasks and the names remain there. Some of the tasks
are in red letters, others are not. The booklet is about as helpful as
a chocolate fireguard.

What is the basic point of this game? I thought it was 'do the tasks
on the right', then something happens. But it is really reallt pissing
me off as he keeps asking me what to do and I cant help him. I've even
looked at the lunabean walkthrough, but that seems to be out of order
that he has done things so just confuses the matter more

thanks in advance for any advice

There are two basic types of task, as I recall.

1) Finding the members of Dumbledore's army, where their name will be
in red, and you'll likely have to perform a simple task for them,
before they agree to meet you in the training room.
2) Performing a task for a teacher, whose name is also in red, again,
just talk to them after you've done what they asked.

There didn't seem to be anything very tricky, just a lot of running
around. A couple of occasions required some strategic spell-casting
and moving around, but that's about it.

You're free to do the tasks in any order, for the names that are in
red, and these are the ones to concentrate on.

HTH.
